Description:

These workshops are for both beginning and experienced monitors. We'll teach and review the calls of our 13 species of frogs and goads, help new monitors find survey sites, and discuss the monitoring protocol. Experienced monitors are encouraged to attend, in order to learn any protocol changes, obtain data sheets, review frog calls, and sharelessons learned from last year. Please note that you only need attend one workshop.

The Calling Frog Survey is part of an amphibian biodiversity recovery plan. Our goal is to establish monitor routes throughout the Chicago region, resulting in amphibian abundance and distribution data with continued monitoring, we will obtain long-term data on amphibian trends within key sites.
